Zaful Embroidered Skirt

Zaful Embroidered Skirt Seize your Style!

As I have mentioned in one of my previous posts, I had recently received some great items from Zaful because I'm currently collaborating with this store. I was still owing you two more pieces I have got from them, which I have to say I'm totally in love with!!

Zaful Embroidered Skirt Seize your Style 2

The first one and this is definitely my favorite of all, is this gorgeous Mini Floral Embroidered Flare Skirt. I can't tell you how much in love with this skirt I am because it's such a statement piece that I'm absolutely sure will elevate any outfit!
I got it in a size M and it fits me perfectly. It looks exactly like it was on the website and the embroidered details look amazing! I'm very surprised at the quality of this garment.

So, I'm more than excited to show you how I have styled it! As the skirt was going to be the main focus of this outfit, I have decided to wear it with some basics, such as a plain white t-shirt from H&M, these gorgeous black sandals also from H&M and a nice bag from Carpisa. I really love how everything looked together and I can't wait to wear this skirt again!

On the other hand, I have also received the Frayed Hem Floral Embroidered Ripped Shorts, which I'm also very satisfied with. I got them in the size M and they also fit perfectly. They are white denim shorts and I really like the quality of the fabric. As you can see I'm a little bit obsessed with embroidered details so I totally fell in love when I saw the flower details in these shorts. I think it looks super cute and perfect for the summer!

Zaful Embroidered Shorts Seize your Style

I didn't have the chance to wear these lovely shorts but I think I would style them with a basic dark grey, black or green tank top, and some cute sandals.

I really hope you like them and please let me know which item is your favorite? :)

8 Tips & Tricks for Learning Languages

With our New Year resolutions so fresh in our minds, I'm sure some of you have the goal of learning a new language this year or maybe continue learning and improving the language you have started to learn in 2017.
Maybe you want to refresh those French lessons you had on high school or at university, whatever is the case if you are looking to start learning a new language or improving one that you have already studied in the past this post is perfect for you because I'm going to reveal all my top tips and tricks in this specific field!
But before we get into the tips, I would like to tell you a little bit more about my personal story learning new languages, so that you can better understand the techniques I have developed throughout the years.
So, first of all, my native language is Spanish because I live in Argentina and I currently speak English fluently, as you can see, but I also have an intermediate level of French and I have also started to study Croatian language last year. So I have a vast experience learning languages which started when I was growing up and I had English lessons at school. They were very basic lessons, I think it was around 2 hours per week at elementary school, and then at high school, I think I had 4 hours per week. What I'm trying to say here is that I never went to a bilingual school or took any other English lessons outside of that. However, I was able to develop a very strong level of English language, which has opened so many doors for me and that allowed me to move confidently in this world.  So, how I was able to achieve that?

Well, I did it in a very unconscious way at that moment, because I was around 12-13 years when I started but the trick is to learn like you would if you were a kid. You first listen to the language as much as you can even though you don't understand it at the beginning, it will somehow sink into your mind. You will get used to listening to those strange sounds and phonemes until you start to recognize the words. Then you can look for their meaning, repeat the words and sentences you already know, and that's how you start to learn how to talk. Next step would be to learn how to read and last you learn how to write but I want to also stress that all my tips are going to help you make the most of your learning process, but they don't replace taking a proper language course. There is no way you can learn a new language without some kind of guidance in regards to grammar, or a teacher to help you with your doubts so, take this as some extra steps you can take along with your course.
So, now that you know the main idea of how I go about learning a new language let's begin with the tips!

1- Be patient with your learning process

I have to mention this in the first place because I think it's key to learning anything in life, but especially languages. You have to be patient with your process. It's not going to happen from day to night, you will have to dedicate a lot of time and effort to really learn and to become fluent in any language you want. The key here is not to rush because if you are trying to learn everything quickly is very likely that you won't learn it properly, or you will make a lot of mistakes, or forget the new vocabulary and that will only lead you to frustration and to quit. So, take it step by step, let your mind process all the new information, take breaks along the way but most importantly think about ways that will make all this learning process more fun and enjoyable to you ;)

2- Listen to music in your target language

Finding some songs that you like on your target language is the best way to start getting used to the new sounds, words, and phrases. Also, you will feel extra motivated to learn the lyrics and the meaning of that song you like so much. Therefore is a great way to increase your vocabulary as well as to improve your pronunciation because you will be singing those songs all the time ;)
In my personal case, this is how I actually started to learn English and to apply everything I was seeing at school because I wanted to translate all my favorite songs and also to sing them properly. I remember how excited I felt the first time I was able to understand the lyrics of a song without having to look for them on the internet. So, I kept doing this with all the new languages I wanted to learn and now I have some amazing playlist on Spotify with songs to help me with my learning process.

3- Watch TV, movies or listen to the radio

This is another very basic way to get in touch with your target language and nowadays you can find media resources from all over the world on the internet or even you can download apps to watch TV or listen to the radio on your phone too!
When I was learning French, I have started watching TV5, at the beginning, it was hard for me to understand anything but with time I got used to it and there were things I was able to completely understand and some others I was guessing by context but anyway it was super helpful.

4- Follow Youtubers

There are many amazing channels on Youtube that are specifically targeted to learning languages but more than that I find it also very useful to find some cool Youtubers that are fun to watch or that talk about a topic of your interest. Once you start understanding what they say you will get extremely engaged and motivated to keep learning!

5- Use Language Learning Apps

Nowadays there are a lot of apps to learn new languages, being Duolingo one of the most popular. These apps are designed to help you learn while playing a couple of minutes a day on your phone. What I think it's great about them is that you can use any spare moment you have to practice a little bit and improve your language skills. I also think they work better if you already have some base with the language and use the apps as something extra.
In addition, I have tried another very similar app called Mondly, it works very similar to Duolingo but it has different languages, for example, I couldn't find Croatian on Duolingo but I was able to find it on Mondly.
Another great app that you should try is Memrise, this app helps you to develop your memory and it's great to fix some new vocabulary in your mind.

6- Record yourself talking

Use your phone to record yourself talking in your target language, practicing some phrases and also reading. This will help you a lot to improve your pronunciation because you will be able to identify your areas of improvement, check on your accent, etc. You can repeat the difficult words as much as you need until you get them!

7- Start Reading

Look for news portals, magazines, blogs or websites that are of your interest and try to read those articles. Once again, be patient if you don't understand everything yet because at some point you will get there and it will still help you to notice some words or phrases natives use when they write. I have also found out that it's great to look for some memes in your target language, sometimes they are easy to understand because they are short and communicate simple ideas. Also, you have an image support that helps you to understand the message, plus they are super fun and they will give you an idea of the sense of humor in that culture.

8- Talk to people

Find some webs where you can chat with some people that already know the language you are trying to learn. I have found two sites that will help you with this. One is called Languing and the other one is called WeSpeke. Both of them have the same idea, you create a profile with the information about the languages you already know and the ones you would like to practice. Then you can look for people who are also practicing the same language as you, or natives and then you can have a chat to practice. I have found this very useful, especially if you are learning a language that is not so common and it's not easy to find someone to practice in your country.

So, that's it! These are all my tips and the things I do to learn a new language! As I said before the idea is that all of this tricks and resources help you with your own process. Let me know in the comments below if you are currently studying any language and if you have any other tip! I would love to know! :)

My Hair Routine 2018

The beginning of a new year is the best moment to set up new routines. We are in the mood for change and for a fresh start. So we try to create a new healthy food routine, a new workout and exercise routine and we also do the same thing with our beauty, skincare and hair routine.
So, I thought it was a great idea to show you all the products I'm currently using on my hair as well as my hair care routine. Some of these products I have already mentioned here on the blog because they are incredible and I have been using them throughout last year and some of them are completely new.
Without further do, let's begin!

Shampoo & Conditioner:

For my shampoo and conditioner, I normally like to alternate different products because I have the feeling that if I use the same products all the time, it's like my hair gets used to them and then it doesn't respond to their properties. I would really love to know if that is something that you also do, or if it's just my idea and it doesn't have any kind of logic at all haha :P
At the moment, I'm using the Kiehl's Amino Acid Shampoo and Conditioner because I tried them once with a sample and they did magic to my hair. They are extremely gentle with my hair and they have some amazing ingredients, such as pure coconut and jojoba oils, which helps a lot to moisturize and strengthen the hair. This line of products is suitable for all hair types and it's silicone-free and paraben-free.
They are a bit pricey for a shampoo and conditioner but I think they are very high quality and they give very good results.

On the other hand, when I don't use the Kiehl's products, I'm using the Garnier Fructis Oil Repair 3 Shampoo, which I just recently bought and the OGX Kukuí Oil Conditioner. Both of them are full of natural oils, including olive, avocado and argan oils, which help to repair, nourish and smooth the hair.
The OGX Conditioner I bought it while I was traveling so once I run out of this product I won't be able to buy it again but I guess I will probably buy the Conditioner from the same Garnier line because I'm very satisfied with their shampoo and it's also very affordable.

Hair Mask:

Twice a week I normally apply a hair mask because I have a very dry and frizzy hair and I tend to use a lot of styling tools to make it look something neat. So, to try to restore my hair a little bit from all the heat of those tools, I use the Salon Essentials Smart Therapy Substance Caviar Repair Mask.
This mask is designed for very fragile and dry hair and it helps to repair, nourish and protect it. This product is enriched with caviar extract and I have been using this mask for the last 5 months. Every time I apply it, I notice that my hair looks healthier, softer and it has a lot more shine.

Serum:

After I finished washing my hair and everything I normally apply a little bit of serum to my hair. I apply it all the time, especially when I need to style it with my hair straightener or any other tool so that it has some kind of protection against the heat.
At the moment, I'm using the Kiehl's Smoothing Oil-Infused Leave-In Concentrate, which I received as a birthday present from my friends and I can't stop telling you how much I love this product!!
It contains Argan and Babassu oils (by the way, I have no idea what exactly is Babassu but it sounds very nourishing haha), it's paraben free and it's designed especially for dry and frizzy hair, which is exactly my type of hair.
This concentrate works as a nourishing and smoothing treatment if you apply it to damp hair and it also helps you with the styling. But also you can apply it to dry hair to give you extra softness and shine. I use it both ways, all the time when my hair is still wet and in case I feel like I need it, I apply it also when my hair is dry.

Overnight Treatment:

This is an extra step that I have included in my hair routine last year. I loved the idea of overnight treatment products that you apply before going to bed and that they work their magic while you are sleeping, so when I saw this product from L'Occitane I knew I have to try it! It's called Overnight Repairing Concentrate and it has 5 essential oils: Ylang Ylang, Sweet Orange, Lavander (my favorite), Geranium and Angelica.  There is no way that my hair doesn't benefit from this product, it only has good natural stuff in it!
So, I just apply 1 pump of it to my hair before going to bed, I try to distribute it through my lengths and that's all!! This concentrate will restore the hair fiber and reduce split ends while you are sleeping.

That's it for my hair routine!! Hope it was useful and let me know what do you think about these products? Is there any of them that you are currently using? Also, if you have any product recommendations I would love to know because there is nothing I enjoy more than to discover new hair products! ;)

Off the Shoulder Top from Zaful

Zaful Striped Off The Shoulder Top

Some months ago, I have started to collaborate with Zaful and I was very excited about showing you the new items I have received from them this time! :)
In this post, I would like to show you one of my favorite pieces, which is this puff sleeve striped blouse with choker. I have mentioned before how obsessed I am with this trend because I think it looks very feminine and chic. Also, I love stripes so this top looked like the perfect thing for me!

Zaful Striped Off The Shoulder Top 2

I got this top in a size S and I have to say that the sizing was perfect! I was actually worried that it may be a little bit short but this top has the perfect length. I'm also very surprised at the quality of the fabric, it's very soft and it's not transparent at all.
The top comes with a choker made of the same fabric that really complements it. I think this detail really adds a plus to the garment because you can wear it both ways, with the choker or without it and that way you can get two different looks ;)

Zaful Striped Off The Shoulder Top 3

I paired this top with some distressed denim jeans from Zara, my favorite nude loafers from H&M and a bag with a similar nude color from XL to create a very summery and girly look.

Zaful Striped Off The Shoulder Top 4

In addition, I got two necklaces from the site. The first one is this Rhinestone moon leaf pendant layered necklace that I'm wearing on this outfit and I'm so in love with it because it looks like I have stacked my jewelry perfectly but it's all just one necklace. I also love that it has that kind of astral theme with those little half moons. It looks lovely!

Zaful Necklace

The other necklace I got from Zaful was supposed to be the Alloy feather pendant necklace but unfortunately, they didn't send me that. When I opened the package, there was only a part of the gold chain and no feathers. I'm going to include the picture of the necklace from the website and what I got in the mail for you to see the difference.

It was a bit disappointing to me because I was having a great experience with this website and this was the first time I didn't receive exactly what I have ordered. Also, I felt a little sad because all the other items were great and came in perfect condition but I have to share with you my complete experience, with the good and the bad things.

I have also received two more items which I'm dying to show you but they will be featured in a future post, so stay tuned;) Hope you like this outfit and let me know your thoughts on the top and the necklace :)

My New Year Resolutions for 2018!

New Year Resolutions

I remember doing this post back at the beginning at 2017 and it was the first time I was writing my New Year resolutions. I can say now that I was able to keep them throughout the year.
The resolutions I made last year were quite general and easy to follow on a day to day basis and I think about doing the same this year.

New Year Resolutions 2

So for 2018, I have made 3 main resolutions:

1- To keep improving my physical and mental health

During last year I had a few health issues, some of them were physical and some of them were related to some anxiety I was developing but, in these last few months, I took the time to visit a doctor to make sure that everything was OK. I'm also going to therapy so in 2018 I'm going to keep working on my health because I really want to feel my best. My plan is to incorporate more meditation into my routine because I feel like it's going to help me a lot, at least I would like to try to do it some minutes every day. This was also another thing that started last year that I definitely want to keep in 2018 and do more of it!

2- To dedicate more time to my personal relationships

In 2018, I want to focus on developing good relationships with my friends and family and I have learned that the best way to improve them is by dedicating time to the people who are important in your life. Take the time to listen to them, to talk with them, to share your thoughts and feelings with them are the things that will improve the relationship and make it stronger. I'm really working on opening myself more to others and to show my vulnerable side as well. It may seem very scary but it is what really makes you connect with others.

3- To keep learning new things

Last year I had the opportunity to continue with a language course so one of my main goals for 2018 is to keep learning and practicing this! I have also started a course to teach Spanish language to foreigners that I really need to finish this year and  I would like to take on some new courses to help me gain more skills, like photography, maybe something related to Photoshop or Illustrator, SEO, etc. I love learning new things so this is a goal that really motivates me!

What about you? Are you making any New Year Resolutions for 2018? I would really love to know! :)

Happy New Year!!!

2018 is finally here!!! I wanted to make a quick post today to wish you all a great start of the New Year! I hope you had a lovely time with your family and friends!! In my case, I have spent New Year's Eve at home again with my parents and also my brother came to visit with his wife, so we were a few more this time! I always stay at home because I have a dog that is very afraid of the fireworks so I try to take care of her.

Anyway, I also wanted to show you what I wore for NYE, this time I decided to try something new. I have always heard about this tradition of wearing white for this occasion and I thought it was a great idea for my outfit! Apparently, the idea is to wear white to attract positive things in the year that is coming. I have no idea if this is true or not but it's a nice idea so I gave it a shot!

I wore my white denim jeans from Zara, with a white top from H&M, and on my feet, I decided to give the outfit a pop of color and something more fun with these pompom sandals I bought in Serbia back in 2016.

I hope you like this outfit and please let me know if you were doing this tradition also? or if you have heard about it.
